Air-dielectric variable capacitor

Description

At a flea market 2013 I noticed an old rotary air capacitor and I buyed that vintage thing. The condition of the plates is good and the small defects (rust, broken ceramic axis) can be restored. According to hardly more legible imprint on the front, it should have been probably installed in a German WW2 transmitter. The capacity is about 30 - 255 pF.

I found another very well preserved variable capacitor in 2019 at a flea market for amateur radio and bought it cheap. Also this capacitor probably comes from a German transmitter. The capacity is 2 x (18 - 290) pF.

Both capacitors are high-quality versions and have ceramic axles and an aluminum housing. This capacitors are surely good to use in a high quality VFO.

Links on right side If anyone can give purposeful hints, I would be very grateful. Where was the capacitors installed?
